STATIONS OF THE CROSS
During Lent we encourage parishioners to visit any of the churches and to pray the 14 Stations of the Cross. Booklets with reflections on theWay of the Cross will be available and you are asked to please return them to the box provided so others may use them.
Divine Mercy prayer leaflets are free to take.
THE SIGN OF PEACE
Though there is much talk at the present about the Coronavirus and the need to take necessary precautions, it has been long held by the medical profession that the shaking of hands at the sign of peace during Mass does contribute to the unnecessary spreading of germs etc. Given that the Coronavirus (COVID 19) has the potential to be a serious threat to our wellbeing and in order to take the sensible measures that would be expected of any institution that brings people together, the Sign of Peace at Mass in Ballinascreen and Desertmartin is suspended, effective immediately.
We also ask those who use tissues etc…to please bring them home and dispense with them there.
