HOLY ROSARY CHURCH

Holy Rosary Church, is temporarily closed for extensive necessary renovations which include a new roof, installation of new altar furniture, interior redecoration and provision of toilets all of which will make Holy Rosary Church a warm and inviting space for the people of Ballinascreen and Desertmartin to come together to worship the Lord and grow in their own personal relationship with him.

As the number of priests in active ministry fall, due to age and retirement, it is essential that we have a church that is convenient and accessible to all, for the times when a Sunday Mass in all 6 churches might not be possible.

For the duration of the temporary closure there will be no 12 noon Sunday Mass, weekday 10.00 am Mass will be held in St Eugene’s Church, Moneyneena as will the 6.00 pm Vigil Mass on Saturday evenings.

Mass for the Do This In Memory Of Me First Communion Programme will take place at the 6.00 pm Vigil Mass in Moneyneena.

Also during the closure of Holy Rosary Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will only take place on the First Monday of the month. It will begin after 10.00 am Mass in St Eugene’s Church, Moneyneena and conclude at 7.25 pm that same evening, when the monthly Mass in honour St Pio of Pietrelcina will take place.

Holy Rosary Church will reopen on Sunday December 1, First Sunday of Advent, when Bishop Donal McKeown will be Chief Celebrant at the Mass of Rededication.
