THE SACRED HEART MESSENGER

Over the years many homes have received a copy of The Sacred Heart Messenger, a Jesuit run monthly magazine that has been distributed around parishes all over Ireland since 1888. The ‘Messenger’ or the ‘little red book’ as it is called is Ireland’s biggest selling religious magazine for over 130 years. It contains beautifully written articles and reflections, each appropriate to the different church seasons throughout the year. Ballinascreen Parish has gladly provided the magazine for those who wish to buy it each month. Unfortunately, each month there are more unsold than sold and the cost to the parish over the year is considerable. Indeed, over the last few years it has amounted to many hundreds of pounds. Therefore, we would like to ask those who buy it each month to become personal subscribers to the magazine and have it delivered directly to their door each month. We will assist you in your application.

The magazine is currently offering a Free Book for New Subscribers.

It is called Sharing The Wisdom Of Time by Pope Francis and Friends. It would usually cost €24.95.

You can complete and return an Order Form which may be obtained from the Parish Office or you may apply directly by email or phone quoting ‘Free Book Offer’. sales@messenger.ie or telephone 0035317758524.

Subscription rates are as follows:

1 Year: £27 or €30

2 Years: £49 or €54 (10%discount)

3 Years: £65 or €72 (20% discount).
