FEASTS OF THE WEEK

Monday 13: Our Lady of Fatima. The apparitions to the three children of Fatima began on 13 May 1917, in the final apparition on 13 October 1917 the ‘Lady’ identified herself as Our Lady of the Rosary and called for prayer and conversion.

WORLD DAY OF PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS

Today is Good Shepherd Sunday when we celebrate World Day of Prayer for Vocations. We ask that we may all be filled with joy and the Holy Spirit as we carry on the mission of Jesus, our Good Shepherd. Let us pray for one another that we may be strengthened in our Christian vocations as married and single people, priests and religious. May our youth listen to God’s call and be encouraged to respond generously. For more information on vocations to the priesthood and religious life please view: www.vocations.ie

Unfortunately, the winter has not been kind to the church roof in recent years and it needs replacing immediately.
