EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

Eucharistic Adoration in Holy Rosary on Monday September 3 will begin after 10.00 am Mass and continue until 7.25 pm. Mass at 7.30 pm.

If you would like to commit to ‘Keeping Watch With Jesus’ please leave your name in the sacristy or the Parish Office and the time on a Monday you will be available for Adoration. It is important that the Blessed Sacrament is never left unattended.

VISITATION OF SICK AND HOUSEBOUND

  • Fr Madden will visit the sick in his care on Monday 3 and Wednesday 5 September.

  • Fr Downey will visit the sick in his care on Monday 3, Thursday 6 and Friday 7 September.

PADRE PIO MASSES

  • Monthly Mass in honour of St Pio of Pietrlecina on Monday September 3 at 7.30 pm in Holy Rosary Church. Rosary and novena prayers at 7.10 pm.

  • To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the death of St Pio of Pietrlecina and the centenary of his having received on his body the stigmata, Bishop McKeown, will be the chief celebrant at a special Mass in honour of St Pio on Sunday 23 September in Holy Rosary at 3.00 pm.

WOOD CRAFTS BETHLEHEM

With permission from Bishop Donal McKeown, Holy Cross Group Bethlehem, will visit Desertmartin Parish on September 1 and 2, and Ballinascreen Parish on September 8 and 9 to sell olive wood crafts to support the Christians in the Holy Land.

PARISH ANNIVERSARY MASS

Friday Mass at 7.30 pm in St Columba’s Straw is offered as an anniversary Mass for deceased parishioners. If you wish to have your loved one prayed for at this Mass you MUST give their name to the Parish Office before Thursday of the relevant week.

HEALTH MOT WEEK

O'Kane’s Pharmacy, Tobermore Road, will provide FREE health checks from 13-15 September, for blood pressure, cholesterol, BMI (Body Mass Index) and blood sugar. CATHOLIC GRANDPARENTS

Annual Pilgrimage to Knock Shrine on 9 September at 2.30 pm. Everybody welcome to come to honour and thank grandparents, alive and dead, for all they have done. PLANS FOR LOCAL FORESTS

Forest Services will present their draft plans for local forests on Tuesday 11 September at 7.30 pm in An Ráth Dubh. They are keen to hear from local people as to how the forests could be used for wider recreational activities. A short presentation will be made with an opportunity to engage with Forest Service staff. All welcome.

VINTAGE TRACTOR & CAR RUN

On Sunday 16 September from Cranagh at 1.00 pm to Sixtowns Community Hall. From 2.00 pm there will be children’s entertainment, barbeque and music by Bleed’N Cowboys at Sixtowns Community Hall. All proceeds will go to Alzheimer’s Society. All welcome.

IRISH DANCE CLASSES

I AM WORSHIP BAND

This Derry band, who featured in Phoenix Park for the Papal celebrations, will perform their debut album 'Fight the Good Fight' in the Millennium Forum on Sunday 23 September.
