WORLD MEETING OF FAMILIES, DUBLIN ~ AUGUST 2018

The World Meeting of the Families 2018 from 21 – 26 August will attract thousands of Irish and International pilgrims. Organising it and seeing it through will only be possible with the help of generous volunteers who will put their love and talents to service. Currently, around 2200 people have volunteered to help at WMOF2018, however several thousand more volunteers are urgently needed. Volunteers are vital to the success of the World Meeting of Families. To become a WMOF2018 volunteer one must officially complete an online application form at ~ www.worldmeeting2018.ie

Volunteering is of enormous personal, social and spiritual benefit. It helps people share their skills and learn new ones, while also contributing to society overall. Volunteers must be over 18 on 1 January 2018; or between 16 and 18 years if volunteering in a group with ratio of at least 1 adult to 10 young people. There is no upper age limit.

ST JOSEPH’S YOUNG PRIESTS’ SOCIETY

St Joseph’s Young Priests Society acknowledges with sincere thanks a very generous donation for the support and education of student priests at home and abroad. Official Family Prayer for World Meeting of Families

God, our Father, we are brothers and sisters in Jesus your Son,

One family, in the Spirit of your love.

Bless us with the joy of love.

Make us patient and kind, gentle and generous, welcoming to those in need.

Help us to live your forgiveness and peace.

Protect all families with your loving care,

Especially those for whom we now pray:

Pause to remember family members and others

Increase our faith, strengthen our hope,

Keep us safe in your love,

Make us always grateful for the gift of life that we share. This we ask, through Christ our Lord. Amen
