BALLINASCREEN PARISH ~ NEW SUMMER BONANZA PARISH DRAW

We encourage all young wage earners to participate in the Parish Summer Draw which begins on Saturday July 17.

The parish needs your support and we ask you to promote this Summer Draw among your friends.

On Friday next July 2, Ballinascreen Parish Office will be opened from 11.00 am until 2.00 pm just for the sale of tickets.

Five Weekly Draws from Saturday 17 July to Saturday14 August.

EXPLORING PRIESTHOOD - COME AND SEE

The Diocese of Derry is hosting its annual 'Come and See' Day for those interested in exploring the life and spirituality of a diocesan priest. This 'Come and See' day is open to those who are discerning a vocation to the priesthood, and will involve talks and discussions, led by local priests and students studying for the diocese, who will share from their own experiences and vocational journey. This event will be held in Saint Mary's Church, Creggan, Derry City on Saturday, 10 July, 10:00 am-4:00pm followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and the Celebration of the Eucharist. PARISH ANNIVERSARY AND MONTH’S MIND MASSES

If parishioners wish to have their loved one prayed for at any Anniversary Friday Mass, you MUST please email their name to Ballinascreen Parish Office by 12 noon on Thursday of the relevant week. e mail address is ballinascreenparish@gmail.com

  • We ask that only members of a family, whose loved one is being prayed for, attend the Friday Anniversary Mass in Holy Rosary Church at 7.30 pm. This should ensure that there is sufficient space for those who are remembering a Month’s Mind or any other anniversary, as seating is limited and cannot be exceeded. The Anniversary Mass will be available on the parish webcam. Holy Communion will be distributed at the door of the Church once the congregation has left. Thank you for your cooperation on this matter.


LOUGH DERG 2021

Lough Derg regrets that it will not be possible in 2021 to reopen Station Island for the Traditional Three Day Pilgrimage or even for the autumn programme of Day Retreats.

Lough Derg will again offer the opportunity to “Do Lough Derg from wherever you are’ on 3 - 5 July.
