The Anniversary Mass will be available on the parish webcam. Holy Communion will be distributed at the door of the Church once the congregation in Church has left.
Thank you for your cooperation on this matter.
CONFIRMATION AND FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2021
Fr Madden and Fr McGirr held an online meeting with the primary school principals in Ballinascreen during the week to plan ahead for the celebration of First Penance, First Holy Communion and Confirmation. As you will know Bishop McKeown has deferred all First Holy Communion Masses until September and Confirmation Ceremonies may be provisionally arranged for June, though he will review this in May to decide whether, in the light of the Covid 19 statistics at that time, they can take place.
Nevertheless, despite this uncertainty we want to provide the parish with the relevant dates for these ceremonies in the hope that they will not be changed.
First Penance will take place in schools on the following days:
St Mary's PS: Thursday morning 29 May;
Gaelscoil Na Speirini: Wednesday afternoon May 5;
St Eoghan's PS: Thursday morning May 6;
St Columba's Straw: Tuesday afternoon May 11.

In the fight against coronavirus, maintaining social distancing is everyone’s responsibility. And with the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination programme well underway there are fresh concerns around complacency. These concerns coupled with the increased anxiety of many, especially those in vulnerable groups, around contracting the virus is why it is so important to continue to show support for and practice social distancing.

WEEKEND MASS SCHEDULE FOR APRIL AND MAY
PRAYERS FOR OUR PROTECTION
The Irish Catholic Bishops have asked for prayers for those affected by the Coronavirus. Placing all our trust in the Lord, and asking Our Lady to intercede for us, the bishops invite everyone to pray these prayers:
EXTRACT FROM SAINT PATRICK’S BREASTPLATE
Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me,
Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left, Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down, Christ when I arise, Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me, Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me, Christ in every eye that sees me, Christ in every ear that hears me.
MEMORARE
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to you,
O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer. Amen
