This year, their focus is on Somalia in East Africa and highlights how climate change, drought and conflict are severely affecting families and communities there. Ambiyo, her husband Mahat, and their eight children who were forced to flee their home after a fourth year of drought in Somalia feature on this year’s box. An unprecedented humanitarian crisis is unfolding, and almost 8.3 million people are facing unbearable hunger there. Trócaire has been working with their partners in Somalia for 30 years and so is in a unique position to offer support to those affected.
