SUNDAY ENVELOPES
If you have not ever received a box of envelopes to contribute each week to the upkeep of the parish please email the Parish Office and we can arrange for you to receive a box. We appeal especially to the younger wage earners of the parish to begin supporting their parish. Contributions can also be made by standing order or direct debit.
NOVENA OF HOPE
Beginning Sunday 19 October a Nine Week Novena of Hope will take place in Ballinascreen and Desertmartin Parishes to celebrate the Holy Year which has HOPE as its theme. Guest speakers have been invited to talk about their faith and life in the church and the Novena will take place each Sunday at 6.00 pm alternating between Holy Rosary Church and St Patrick’s Church, Keenaught. More details in the coming weeks.
MONEYNEENA PAROCHIAL HOUSE
As the Parochial House is now a private residence, no parking is permitted at all within its grounds. Please use the church car park and available spaces around the church. The space nearest the sacristy steps is reserved for the Celebrant.
VOCATIONS NOTICE
Anyone considering a vocation to the diocesan priesthood is invited to an afternoon of prayer and discussion organised by the diocesan vocations team on next Sunday 24 August. Mass at 12.30 pm in St Columb's Church, Waterside, , followed by refreshments in parish hall. Bishop McKeown hopes to attend, along with a number of priests and seminarians. The afternoon will end at 6.00 pm.
ACN PILGRIMAGE TO KNOCK
Papal charity Aid to the Church in Need Ireland invites people to join their pilgrimage to Knock on Saturday August 30 to highlight the plight of Christians who suffer persecution for their faith in many parts of the world. Mass 3.00 pm, all welcome. For more details please see www.acnireland.org

ALZHEIMER'S SOCIETY
Could you help nurses of tomorrow learn about Dementia? Join Time for Dementia – an innovative award-winning training programme, coming to University of Ulster. The programme is designed to educate undergraduate healthcare students to improve their knowledge, attitude, and empathy towards people with dementia and their carers. Students are paired up with a family affected by dementia and will arrange to visit them at home. This is a unique learning opportunity for the students but also a great chance for a family affected by dementia to share their experiences of living with the condition.
