HOLY ROSARY CHURCH - PRIVATE PRAYER TIMES

Now that Confirmations and First Holy Communion Masses have been celebrated in Holy Rosary Church, new opening times for daily private prayer are announced this week. Holy Rosary Church will open Monday to Thursday from 9.30 am to 6.00 pm and on Friday and Saturdays from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm (this is to allow the sanitising of the church in preparation for evening Masses). The Church will remain open after Mass on a Sunday until 6.00 pm. Parishioners are asked to please sanitise their hands as they enter and leave the church and to sanitise the candle lighter if used. Upon entering the church for Private Prayer please lift one of the yellow coloured cards and leave it on the seat where you have been seated.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2020

Congratulations to all the children of the parish who celebrated First Holy Communion over the past fortnight in Ballinascreen. The ceremonies were beautiful in their simplicity and with the focus being solely on receiving Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament for the first time, this year’s First Holy Communion Masses were unforgettable experiences. Many thanks to the Principals, Primary 4 teachers in all the schools and the Ballinascreen 'Do This In Memory Of Me Parents’ Team for their commitment to the children and to the parish programme of evangelisation.

FACE COVERINGS IN CHURCHES

Following the Irish Catholic Bishops recommendation to use face coverings at Masses and other celebrations in churches, from weekend Saturday 29 / Sunday 30 August 2020, we encourage our parishioners to adopt the practice. Many people attending Mass in our parishes already wear a mask but from this weekend we appeal to all who attend Mass to do so.
