MISSION SUNDAY
Next Sunday, October 21, will be Mission Sunday and in his message for this year’s World Mission Sunday Pope Francis, invites young men and women who want to follow Christ, to seek, to discover and to persevere in their vocation. The theme of this year’s observance is, ‘Together with young people, let us bring the Gospel to all’ .Mission Sunday encourages prayers, cooperation and help for missions as well as reminds Christians about the fundamental missionary character of the Church and of every baptized person.
The Holy Father also invites all Catholics to contribute to Mission Sunday Collections. Your contributions will be used to build simple mission churches, to educate seminarians, religious novices, lay catechists and pastoral workers. Your gift may also be used for building health facilities for
