STRAW CEMETERY
An incident occurred at the beginning of last week that has given great cause for concem. At some point on Monday afternoon through to Tuesday afternoon, a car entered Straw Cemetery and drove over the grave of a loved one, damaging the surround and left without acknowledging the damage done. This has been deeply distressing for the family concerned and I wish to assure them that Ballinascreen Parish takes this act of disrespect, however unintentional it may have been, very seriously. If such an incident should occur anywhere
again in Straw Cemetery, the Cemetery will be closed to all cars from dusk until morning. Fr Peter Madden, PP VF
